Origins (Sweep, No. 11) - Cate Tiernan Because of how slow the last book was, I was cautious about this one and took my time reading it but it got a lot better as it went along. The start was boring and it was hard to see the relevance to the previous books, it's hard really to see why they dedicated an entire book to it even now, but it was really interesting.

The romance to start with was boring and ordinary, and it was sad to see Rose so blind as to what was really happening with her magic and the love charms (Also, I still think it was the Aislinn that shot the arrow at Rose's mother). Maybe it's because we've seen Morgan over the last 10 books being so powerful but I felt that Rose should really have been more obviously powerful - after all, she did create the first ever dark wave, the thing that can wipe out an entire coven of witches - but maybe it was to show just how powerful Morgan was. The contrast of Rose from her uncertainty over the other clans and even her wish to unite them all to the last chapter of her planning to destroy another coven for stealing sheep less than 6 months later was a little much, but I guess after the first wave she was changed.

Also, I still don't understand Hunter kissing another girl in the last book even though he tried to explain it to Morgan... I hope that girl doesn't show up again or something annoying.
